公司由原江蘇省建設(shè)廳二個(gè)直屬事業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)江蘇省工程造價(jià)事務(wù)所和江蘇省建威工程招標(biāo)中心按照國(guó)務(wù)院有關(guān)文件精神要求脫鉤改制合并重組，成立于2002年3月。
江蘇省工程造價(jià)事務(wù)所和江蘇省建威工程招標(biāo)中心是當(dāng)時(shí)全省工程造價(jià)領(lǐng)域和工程招標(biāo)代理服務(wù)領(lǐng)域內(nèi)最大的獨(dú)立專業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)。除了面向社會(huì)提供咨詢服務(wù)外，公司前身機(jī)構(gòu)參與了專項(xiàng)治理審計(jì)、省建設(shè)工程有形市場(chǎng)的標(biāo)底審核服務(wù)、重點(diǎn)建設(shè)項(xiàng)目的造價(jià)評(píng)估和決算審核工作以及省內(nèi)一些大中型工程建設(shè)項(xiàng)目的招標(biāo)代理服務(wù)。
改制后，上述機(jī)構(gòu)合并重組為江蘇建威工程咨詢有限公司。新公司秉承優(yōu)良傳統(tǒng)，恪守職業(yè)準(zhǔn)則，以公正、誠(chéng)信為本繼續(xù)開(kāi)拓發(fā)展。業(yè)務(wù)類型的廣度和深度都得到進(jìn)一步拓展，業(yè)務(wù)收入和公司規(guī)模逐步擴(kuò)大。目前公司已發(fā)展成為綜合性的咨詢公司，成為中國(guó)工程造價(jià)管理協(xié)會(huì)、中國(guó)工程咨詢協(xié)會(huì)、江蘇省招標(biāo)代理協(xié)會(huì)、江蘇省工程造價(jià)管理協(xié)會(huì)的會(huì)員單位。
